Van tour around New Zealand’s North Island – day one and two

Right at the end of winter we hit the road in our rented Apollo Euro Tourer camper van (built off a 2019 Sprinter van) to your around the North Island of New Zealand.

We left Auckland we headed down toward the Bay of Plenty, choosing to stay the night on the stunning Ōhope Beach – voted New Zealand’s best beach.

Day two sees us leave the Bay of Plenty and head as far east as we could, with the aim being heading to the light house at East Cape. Despite the best laid plans, we didn’t quite make it there and ended spending the night in Tologa Bay.
